There is an urgent problem facing our culture. It is the fact that negative lifestyle habits are killing us and as a byproduct are exerting extreme economic stress. When the well-being of a citizen must be reconciled with dollars, significant moral questions arise as well as significant business opportunities. What is ‘good’ for people is ‘good’ for business. Healthcare reform is one of the top cultural conversations and challenges facing America. There are two paths that must be addressed. One is the disease and crisis care services model. This path is fraught with uncertainty as far as regulation and 3rd party reimbursement schedules. The second path is the over $500 billion wellness industry. This path is not 3rd party dependent, minimally regulated, expanding rapidly, and a true solution to the crisis. This is the path of the Creating Wellness Alliance.

Creating Wellness Alliance was is driven by a simple statement of purpose; Earn a profit by creating worldwide wellness. The top 3 objectives for CWA after launch were the following:

1st – To create a substantial wellness brand by establishing doctor led, Creating Wellness Centers. These branded centers distribute Creating Wellness products and services to their patients. Currently, there are nearly 300 Creating Wellness Centers across North America, Europe, New Zealand and now Africa.

2nd – To clarify the term ‘wellness’ and to create the worldwide standard for measuring wellness. This measurement system has been achieved beyond expectations. Tens of thousands have been assessed with this system. Statistical analysis on the Creating Wellness assessment has been performed at Emory University and CWA is working toward setting it up as an industry standard.

3rd – To create and launch a robust employee wellness program for corporations across North America. We have an employer driven healthcare culture and to have maximum impact, wellness has to be brought to the workplace.
